My blog got me fired!

His boss pulled Vincent's blog up on his computer and showed him posts that included pictures of the company's facilities and employees.

Vincent majored in creative writing in college, but after graduation he found himself working for an insurance company, and he didn't have much time for writing anymore. He decided to start a blog as a way to flex his writing muscles again and keep in touch with friends and family. He was pretty open about his life and wrote about all the stuff that happened to him at work, at the gym, or while out on the town. When he got a cell phone that took pictures, he started posting photos to go with his blog posts.

One day Vincent was called into his boss' office at work. His boss pulled Vincent's blog up on his computer and showed him posts that included pictures of the company's facilities and employees. He reminded Vincent that this was a violation of company rules and suggested that he start looking for work elsewhere.

"I never thought anybody from work would find my blog," said Vincent. "But with search engines, all anybody has to do is look for my name. From now on I'm not going to use anybody's name or picture without their permission, and I'll be more careful about what I write."
